 What’s New for the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S?

When we take a look at the all-new 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S, we see significant changes made to the engineering of the car. Every new 911 that comes out, car buyers greet it with some level of skepticism. You wonder what they have done in the new model that will improve upon its predecessor. The design looks about the same as what it always has looked, but most people didn’t want the 911 Carrera to change too much. First, Porsche has continued to broaden the appeal of the car to an ever-widening audience. The newest model shows us the fiercest attempt at these changes. Some of the goals in the new 2020 model have been to make it even more user-friendly and provide supreme comfort over long distances. That’s the theme that we see with the newest model. On the exterior, automakers from Porsche extended the front track of the S by 1.9 inches, and they moved the tires outward 1.5 inches. For the base car, the springs were made 15 percent stiffer than with the other model. You can also still choose to get the four-wheel steering, which has made for an interesting choice from Porsche.

The Powertrain

When it comes to the steering of the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S, steering is now electrically assisted. Porsche claims that this helps to make the car 11 percent faster than what it could do before with the base model. In terms of speed, you can race from zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds. That’s a fast car! The Carrera S also generates 443 horsepower, and Porsche has also made a promise that a seven-speed manual will soon be available in this car.

With the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S, you get a 10.9-inch touchscreen, which Porsche pulled right from the Macan and the Panamera. You also get a new door handle design with this vehicle. When you pull the handle, it starts this electric switch that works great. You have an awesome interior that has slightly expanded since the last model. Many of the buttons that you saw previously on the interior have been replaced with touch-sensitive areas, and you will feel a vibration while using them.

When looking at the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S, you have a great exterior. They changed the door in the latest model. You also have wraparound tail lights. The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S weighs 163 pounds more than the previous model. The increase in weight happened even despite the aluminum body. Porsche is a carmaker that when you look at its exterior, you can recognize it right away. The iconic headlights haven’t changed this year, and much of what has made the Porsche 911 great in previous years remains the same.
